Caitlin Poulton Hyde is a Texas native with nearly two decades of professional experience teaching, choreographing, performing, and training dancers. She specializes in contemporary, jazz, ballet, pointe, lyrical, and hip hop and is a certified Progressing Ballet Technique instructor and member of Dance Masters of America, Carolina Dance Masters Chapter #15. She has also choreographed for the Houston Texans Cheerleaders.

Caitlin began dancing at age three and grew up immersed in competitive dance and high school dance team. Her accomplishments include being named 2nd Runner-Up Teen Miss Dance Texas 2005 and Miss Dance/Drill Team Texas 2007, along with earning numerous scholarships, overall placements, and special recognitions. After graduating from high school, she joined the staff of M.A. Dance, traveling throughout the country to teach, choreograph, and judge camps and competitions. Through M.A. Dance, she also served as a consultant for the Capital One Bowl All-American Halftime Show.

Caitlin earned her B.F.A. in Dance from The University of Texas at Austin in 2012. During her time at UT, she performed works by renowned choreographers including Ohad Naharin and Alex Ketley. She was part of the first collegiate program to perform Naharin’s Minus 16 in its entirety and was selected to present her choreography in Austria at Young! Tanzsommer.

In 2013, Caitlin joined Dance Works in Missouri City, Texas, where she spent 10 years as Co-Director of the competitive company, recreational program, and Toddler/Kinder program. After relocating to Pinehurst, North Carolina, she became an instructor and choreographer for L Mace Studios in Seven Lakes. She continues to choreograph for L Mace and manage the studio’s social media. Throughout her studio career, Caitlin’s dancers and choreography have earned numerous regional and national titles, overall placements, choreography honors, technique and specialty awards, and studio recognitions.

In 2026, Caitlin and her family moved to the Opelika/Auburn area, where she joined the faculty of Make Your Move Dance as a ballet and pointe instructor. She is passionate about developing confident, technically strong, and versatile dancers while encouraging each student’s individual artistry and love of movement. Outside the studio, Caitlin works as a floater at Lakeview Preschool Adventures.

Caitlin is married to her husband, Austen, and is the proud mama of three daughters: Camryn Dean (2017), Hadley Wrenn (2022), and Scotty Ann (2026). Their family also includes Lily, their sweet, fluffy cat.
